There is a male Artemas in the Bible. I have come across Artemas a few times in historical texts, there were three Massachusetts state representatives in the 18th century named Artemas (one was the son of another, the third appears to be unrelated).

Ohh thanks, I didn't know that :) I don't pronounce Artemis and Artemas the same. But I think you could definitely pronounce them the same. And Artemas could lead to the nickname of Art which is sometimes used for Arthur.
