Andrea
I just met a 19 year old Andrea. I have always liked the name and was pleased to meet a young one. Thoughts?

I’ve always liked it too! It’s always nice to hear since Andrea isn’t super common but still a known name. I’d use it.

It's nice, though I like it better pronounced the Italian way, rather than AN-dreeah.

My name is Andrea and I used to waitress a couple years ago and met a few children named Andrea. If you look at the numbers Andrea is #128 in the US, #45 Denmark, #49 Norway, #143 for girls in Italy, #13 in Mexico, #52 in Spain, #138 in France. So not that rare overall in many countries.

Okay name, but not really my style personally. One question I've always had about the name is this: if Andrew means "manly", then wouldn't Andrea mean "manly" too and thus not work unless the girl was very much a tomboy?
