Angelus
For a boy,
The Latin word for 'Angel', taken from the greek 'Angelioforo' meaning 'messenger'.
Also starts the prayer, the Angelus :Angelus Domini nuntiavit Mariæ.
Borne by Saint Angelus of Jerusalem, a carmelite monk, and also by a vampire but I don't think anyone pays too much attention to that these days (Do they?). Another option would be 'Angelos'.
Also in this set are Silvius, meaning forest
&
Nicephorus (pronounced Nik-E-Four-Us), means bearer of victory.
Thoughts?

Ángele Dei,
My guardian Dear,
To whom God's love commits me here,
Ever this day
Be at my Side,
To light and guard,
To rule and guide,
