How lovely! Adrienne Josephine Alice is a beautiful complement to Leonore Lilian Maria and Nicolas Paul Gustaf. In addition, the entire family (children, inlaws, grandchildren) are the best named royal family in Europe, imo. I especially love Madeleine's name (Madeleine Thérèse Amelie Josephine).I've also long admired the name Adrienne and am thrilled to see it used so prominently. BTW, the little one looks very much like her dad.

My guess was either Adeline or Beatrice, and I prefer both of them. I don't like Adrienne at all, but I like Josephine and Alice.

Pauline was actually the name that popped up in my head, so you were a bit closer with Adeline.

I've been thinking a lot about Adrienne lately because of Adrienne Rich (who pronounced her name the French way). I really like it! It's subdued but elegant.I prefer Leonore, though.

Adrienne on a girl annoys me no end and it certainly does not seem the least bit royal.

I really like it! Especially if Alice has the French pronunciation, the flow is gorgeous.Congratulations to Princess Madeleine and Herr O'Neill!

Adrienne Josephine Alice is gorgeous and very fitting for a princess. I also like Leonore and Nicolas' full names.

Dang, you beat me! :)I like the names per se, but I don't like the rhythm. I am well aware that she probably won't grow up in Sweden, but Alice Adrienne Josephine would create a better rhythm in Swedish.
Adrienne was really a name no one had expected. Apparently most people guessed for Alice, Ingrid or Desirée.
I don't think either Victoria, Carl Philip or Madeleine will have any more Children now, but I'm still hoping for a princess Fredrika! There was a queen Fredrika (in the beginning of the 19th Century, I think), but she wasn't a Bernadotte.

Hi Caprice !!!I love Royal families and the Swedish one is growing fastly since 2012!Adrienne is an uncommon name in that family I agree with you. But as I know their origin is French it is a refreshing but also delicated choice imo.The combo is nice (far better than Oscar Carl Olof for sure that is a twistertongue). Josephine is one of Madeleine MNs and Alice an ancestress. I'm glad that Adrienne is the first one because it us refined and bright.

I always feel a little bemused by two feminised names in the same string: had they perhaps been hoping for a little Adrian Joseph? In their place, I'd have adjusted my coronet and gone for Alice Josephine Adrienne instead!

Josephine is one of Madeleine's middle names, so I don't think they were expecting a little Adrian Joseph.
