Uriel for a boy
Uriel {pronounced YOO-Ree-EL}, is the name of an archangel. So, what do you think?

I knew a woman named Uriel.
Everyone called her "urinal" behind her back.

What everyone else said. Also, Muriel.
Definitely thought “urinal” immediately. Sorry.
I think it's ugly. Sorry. And too much like urinal
Another spelling
If the Uri- part bothers you (because of urine / urinal / etc.), Oriel is an accepted variant and means the same thing (G-d is light).

Love it; would actually use it for a future kid. The meaning and connotation of it is wonderful, IMO. I don’t think most people would think of “urine,” this isn’t 6th grade.
Love it. Would be tempted to spell it Yuriel so it's less like Urine etc.
I think it's a really handsome name and I love Yuri/Uri as a nickname :)

I think it would suck to be named Uriel ...
Archangel or not, it's way way too close to urinal, and even nice or naive kids would very quickly pick up on it.

I agree, lots of urine jokes
Just makes me think of the word "urinal".
It reminds me of bad things like urine with the Uri part... anyways, its okay, but a bit religious. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Although I have nothing against Uriel and would think it's nice if an underused name like that got used, I have to say I think he'd get called Urinal a lot.
