Martha
Was talking today with my father about my grandmother's siblings as I always get confused their names.
There was:
Isobel "Bel"
Abraham "Abie"
Archibald "Archie"
Martha "Mattie"
Elizabeth "Betty" - my grandmother
Barbara "Barb"
And one more sister who died (possibly Margaret?)
I was actually surprised to hear Aunty Matties name was Martha. I guess if never thought about it.
I'm like Martha quite a bit at the moment. Not sure if I'd use it as a FN or MN
Martha Winifred or Winifred Martha?
What do you think about Martha

Pretty awesome set of names there! Barbara is the only one I don't like. As for Martha, I've always really liked it. I remember liking it as a kid actually and definitely a name I would consider using. It was one of the many names I threw around when pregnant with Eden, but DH isn't a big fan. I think it's warm, friendly and homely.
Mattie is cute.
I want to like Martha, but that Marth-sound just gives a gross vibe to me, like a watching noise almost. It's short and yet sound clunky and heavy. Not my cup of tea.
Winifred Martha is kind of nice. Winifred is a bit foolish in my head, and Martha is solid and calm, so they balance nicely.

I kind of like Martha in that I like its eighteenth century vibe. I kind of don't like it in that it seems too domestic and timid. Overall it's not bad and I would be happy to see it on a baby.
