Ellie

MaddieEllie – perhaps from a shorter morph of Elizabeth, but no not necessarily. Though the BTN information derives it from Ellen / Hellen – as though a softened pet name, the variants referenced here seem to reach Elizabeth. Ellie could conceivably be Buffy if she likes! (love this!)Lily is a beautiful & lovely flower, and though an argument made be established that she is from Elizabeth (Lilibeth), it may certainly not be at all. I ascertain this independently –even if there were relation to Lilibeth.
Maddie – here we receive the name as though in pet-form, though any name, even pet or nicknames can be formal legal names. Personally I love it. If Maddie is a form of Madeline – can we call (her?) Magda? Why not – if the bearer likes it. (Sorry I love variations). So if these names are triplets, are these names honorary toward a person – perhaps names Elizabeth Madeline / Lilibeth Madeline? Please note how in the following quotation from Edmund Spenser, capricious Ivy binds these branches.
Interesting triplet sibset; and as relations are extremely important, I am as intrigued as to what the names are as to why the names are together. Interesting!

A gloomy Grove of myrtle Trees did rise,

Very boring/bland.Eleanor, Lillian, and Madeleine would be so much better.

I'm surprised the third one isn't Milly.
I rename them Elspeth, Lilias and Magdalen.

Ellie and Maddie as full names are too nickname-y for me. I'm sure I'm not the first or only person to say this. I'd rather see Eleanor nn Ellie and Madeline nn Maddie. The whole thing is meh. Not awful, but not great, either.

Ellie and Lily are too matchy, while Maddie is too much of a nickname.
My choices would be Eleanor, Lily (or Lilian) and Madeleine.

I love Lily, but the other two are nms. It would be lovely if it were,Eliana/Eleanor, Lily/Lilian, and Madeline.:)

A wasted opportunity. The only name that isn't a nn is the feeble, fading Lily! What would have been so bad about naming the other two Elinor and Madeline? Or Elvira and Madison!

As nicknames for Eleanor, Lillian, and Madeline sure. Independently they strike me as both trendy and perpetually juvenile. The bearer should have the option of a formal first name to use as an adult if she prefers, as many do.

Dull as dishwater but inoffensive.

Hi !!!It is horrible.
All together seem so cutesy that I can't stand them. So childish and silly. After that I hate matched names for twins and these have the same ending sound and although Lily is not a NN the whole sibset has this vibe. Just horrible.I only like Lily that has 9/10 in my list.Anyway..CONGRATULATION to this new family !!!

Pretty dull.Just overused at this point.

Not a fan. Maddie as a first name is stale to me, and all the Madeline and Madison's I know went by that. Lily and Ellie are okay though, just very safe choices.
