It's the exact Swedish word for "crazy" so needless to say, I'm not liking it.
That's kinda ironic with the Swedish meaning of the word given what Galen actually means.
"Gal" is a synonym for Danish word for 'crazy', so it should be the same thing for me, just that I absolutely love the name for its exact meaning. It's also the first name of a character of the Battlestar Galactica reboot from 2003-2009, Galen Tyrol, and I love that show.

I love the name Galen but had no idea about the Swedish word "galen". Makes you wonder about what other names seem perfectly normal but are awful in other languages!
