Janet
What do you think of the name Janet? Usable? Too dated? What would be some good middle names for it?

I love Janet! To me it seems like a punchy, retro version of Jane. Probably wouldn't consider using it myself, though. I currently associate it too strongly with "Dammit Janet" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I think I like it best with longish names that are a little old/fantastical/romantic sounding.
Janet Angelica
Janet Andromeda
Janet Fidelia
Janet Demelza
Janet Eleonora
Janet Valentina
Janet Philomela
Janet Seraphina
Janet Sophronia
Janet Esmeralda
Janet Lucinda
Janet Marcella
Janet Veronica
Janet Viviana
Janet Aviva
Janet Mariah
Janet Zenobia
Janet Ludovica
Janet Yolanda
Janet Christabel
Janet Amaryllis
Janet Rosalba

It does feel a bit dated, but I enjoy the medieval vibe, and it’s spunky. Don’t see why it wouldn’t be usable. To play a bit...

Personally, I have an aunt and a great aunt named Janet, so to me it seems pretty dated. I wouldn't say it's unusable, but I'd be a little bit surprised if I found a Janet in, say, my little sister's primary school class. I feel it'd work pretty well with 2/3/4 syllable middle names which are stressed on the second syllable: Janet Elizabeth (if you were going very classic), Janet Louise, Janet Sophia, Janet Olivia, Janet Amelia, Janet Camille
