I like it but very popular for my tastes. A go as most popular boys names are.
I like it. I just found out it's medieval, which makes me like it more.
Pronounced with a short A - GAVin - I like it a lot, almost enough to use IRL, though it is a bit dated. But, it was never over-popular so I think it would be OK.
Pronounced GAYvin, which I've heard though only from Americans, it's doubly inappropriate.

I've always thought this name only had one pronunciation 0_o. I'm American and litterly no one says this name as 'Gayvin'.

I like it, but I prefer Gawain.
Gavin also seems a little mature. Like, I can easily picture it as a "hot guy name", not so much as a baby name. It's a name that would take a while to grow into, and it doesn't really have any obvious childhood nicknames (maybe Gavi/Gavy?)
As another example: I think Tristan is a similar name, it's in the same category as Gavin IMO, and I can easily imagine Tristan as a "hot" name, but it's also easy to imagine on a kid/baby. It doesn't take any time at all to "grow into", and it's not purely young either, so you're also not going to grow out of it.

My brother is Gavin, so I can only see it on him. Its okay.
I think Gavin is a solid, handsome name.
I'm surprised that it's popular now. To me it's an early 80s name as I know many men with that name who were born then.
I do, too. There were quite a few guys named Gavin around my age where I lived (I was born in the late 80s).
I don’t like it even slightly. It doesn’t have any redeeming features imo.
