I know it's not a common association, but it's a religious (Methodist) name to me. Otherwise, it's not my style but it's a fine name. I like the nn Wes more than the longer forms.
i love it, though it isn't my usual style either. i agree w/ queenv that it's a friendly sounding name.

I like Wes, and if I wanted to call my kid that, I'd probably use it as a full name. If I absolutely had to pick something longer, I think I'd go with Westward.
Wesley sounds kind of wimpy to me, probably because I've only met one (as a kid), and he was whiny; also I tend not to like lee/leigh/ley endings.
I prefer Weston to Wesley and don't have any strong feelings about it, but it's not my style either.
