Romy
Do you like Romy? It seems to be getting really common in France. I pronounce it RO-mee in German and ro-MEE in French but I guess I prefer the German pronunciation in this case.

I like it as a nickname, but not as a full name. It does seem very “European” to me, but can work in other cultures.

It seems a little incomplete somehow. I like it as a nick name for Romilly for a girl or Romulus or Jerome for a boy.

I don't like the way it sounds. Itsokay otherwise. I like Roma, or Rosemarie though.

Hi Perrine !!!Romy?
I have to say that I dislike it.It seems a nickname (yes it is I know).
After that it remibds me too much Rom (the Italian name for Roma people).I prefer the French pronounciation (with the French r that I have naturally and that I love at present). But as ro-MEE it is too close to Rémy a name that I really like!So...Romy is not my cup of tea (I love this English saying that I learned here on BTN)!

I love Romy. I like it on its own or as a nn, sometimes I play with combos to make Romy the nn such as Rose Matilda. I pronounce it RO-mee. I've never met a real life Romy in Australia.

Is it used as a full name, or as a nn for Rosemarie? I like it as a nn and with the German pronunciation, but I wouldn't use it as an independent name.
