Harriet
I've been fond of the name Harriet lately. I'm not sure why. I used to think it was ugly. What are your thoughts on Harriet?

It's pretty decent; not too bad, but also not a very popular name.

I've always liked it a lot, and would have seriously considered it IRL if only I had a different ln.On the other hand, I really can't see the point of Henrietta! Clumsy and much too long, with the potential for really trite nns. Harriet doesn't need a nn, IMO.I've always dithered between Daisy Harriet and Harriet Daisy. Once again, it's down to the ln I think. And then of course there's the Dorothy L Sayers character: one of the most well-rounded women in detective fiction, and all fiction actually.

I love Harriet! It used to be one of my favorite names; now I prefer Henrietta.

I think it's very ugly. Hairy It. Just gross. Some woman with a thick mustache and smelling like mothballs and uncleaned dentures. Yuck.
