My point was that it’s not made up or necessarily “created.” I think Sebella is pretty dang close in sound to Isabella. No one would likely guess what “Sebi” is short for whether it was Sebella or Isabella, so I guess I don’t see what it matters which version of the name was used. They clearly didn’t want to name her Isabella, so why force it for a nickname that already unusual?I may be biased because I LOVE the nn Sibby but don’t like Sibyl enough to use, but would consider Cybele. Bottom line I wouldn’t use a name I didn’t like just because it’s the most logical choice
