I think about both of these names a lot. I think Alice would be an easier name to have (in the US at least), because I have a feeling Elise would get mixed up with other names more frequently. Alice seems a bit less “frilly” for some reason.”, but I like both names very much.
Elisa is nice but again I could see it getting mixed up with Elise, Alyssa, etc. in the US.

Elise definitely gets mixed up with a lot of other names in the US. (Source: I am named Elise in the US) It also gets misspelled constantly.
I get called Elsie, Alice, Alyssa, Elisha/Alisha, Alicia, Ellie, Lisa, Elisa etc with some frequency. I wouldn't be surprised if girls/women named Alice have a similar experience though. In my experience, people just glance at names on pages or hear your name and associate it with maybe a name that they hear frequently in their own life that's similar.
