What do you think of Clementine? It makes me think of an orange.

I think its pretty, it reminds me of Clementine Dussay. I prefer Clemence though.
I like it. Yes, it makes me think of an orange, but it's not my one and only association, it's not very strong, so I don't really care about it. I think Clementine is very cute and although it's a classic, it's unique. I like the nickname Clemmie, or Emmie, but Clemmie is better for Clementine. One thing I don't like about it is that I don't like when -ine names are pronounced as -ien, I prefer them as -een, but I guess Clementine is most often pronounced cle-men-TIEN. I can't say it makes me dislike the name totally, but takes away quite a lot of its charm.
It screams “hipster / trying way too hard” to me. I’m all for using rare classic names, of course, but Clementine is name-nerd popular and, yeah, brings oranges to mind. Of course I don’t like most -ine names so maybe I’m biased?
I do think Clement for a boy is a really good name.

Bleh. Clementine's mom is a blogger and her dad looks like a lumberjack. She probably has a brother named Atticus. It'd be cute for a pet though!
"Oh my darlin', oh my darlin', oh my daaaaaaaaaarlin' Clementineeeeeeeeeee"
That's what I think of. lol then I think of oranges.

I like it a lot but it took me years to come around to it. I'd be more inclined to use Clémence or Clementina or Clémentine.
Pronounce it like Clementeen and the citrus goes away. In fact, spell it Clementene and your problems are over. I know one whose parents used the -ene spelling for that very reason, and it worked.
But Clementene is a misspelling, and that almost makes it worse in my opinion (it turns it kre8tyve). The -een pronunciation is the most common one, anyway, so I think most people would default to (or at least understand) that.
It's all right. I can see it working on the right person. I'm not in love with it, but it's sweet.
I like it a lot, though I prefer Clementina.
I actually adore this name, but the oranges would keep me from using it on a real person, unfortunately.
Clem makes me thin of seafood.
Why? Because it's close to the word "clam"?
Exactly.
Yeah, me too, especially since we always buy clementines for my grandsons.
