I've always had an impression that it is sort of like a pseud for a gigolo, or playboy-ish. Like Fabian. I don't know where I got that impression. It faded a little when I ran into little kids named it, who were my kids' classmates. It seems decent enough, maybe a little stuckup because it has no nicknames that aren't hideous. I don't like it because I don't like the sounds, the Sub sound, the asschin sound. But I think it is a decent name and I don't feel judgmental when I hear it.
