Re: Amelia or Amalia? (more)

I have an Amalia so that gets my vote :)
I definitely pronounced them differently. Amelia is a-ME-lee-ah and Amalia is a-MAHL-ee-ah. My Amalia goes by Molly for short, but we really uses Amalia and Molly pretty interchangeably. There are people who don't say her name right the first time (they thinks its Amelia or else, emphasize the wrong syllable and say ah-ma-Lee-ah, but once we correct them, it's fine)
