Hattie?
Thoughts on Hattie? Do you like it on its own or as a nickname for either Harriet or Henriette / Henrietta? What middle names would you recommend for it? What other names could it be a nickname for?

I think it's awful! It's the one thing that puts me right off Harriet, which otherwise I like a lot. (Henrietta/e is too frilly.)

I have a real soft spot for Hattie. It's just so cute. But I'm not in love with Harriet or Henrietta, and Hattie is way too informal to stand alone. I guess, if pressed, I'd choose Harriet. Henrietta is a name for a chicken.
Wouldn't sisters named Hattie and Eloise be adorable? I'm all the sudden in love with this idea.

Hattie is really cute. I had a Dear America book with Hattie as the main character's name and it gave me a soft spot. I think it can work as a full name, but it works better as a nickname for Harriet. I think Hettie is better for Henrietta.
I don't know how usable any of these are, but a few other potential full names
Haggith
Hathor
Hatice
Hecate
Hippolyta
Horatia
Hortensia
Hyacinth
Hypatia
