Naomi is one of those names that's honestly just cool. It's an atypical combination of letters, but not something the parents created by dumping Scrabble tiles. And you always remember a Naomi's name.
Rachel is hardly objectionable. It's a name I associate with women who know what they want and how to achieve it (same category in which I place Veronica). I find myself more drawn to the Rachael spelling, for some reason - one of the few cases where I prefer the "variant" over the original. But even so... I'm sorry, but I don't think the sound of Rachel is all that attractive. Raquel, imo, is much nicer. And cooler.
