Glenda
I think Glenda is kind of cute. The meaning is nice too. Does it bother you that it was invented recently?

It doesn't bother me that it was invented recently, but it does bother me that I just don't think it sounds good. Too strong association with Glen, which to me says a dorky, boring sort of guy in late middle age - and that impression isn't improved on a Glenda.

I like it. Don't love it. I have an aunt Glenora. I prefer Glenda to that. It reminds me a bit of Gilda which is one of my very favorites, so I could see myself warming up to it further.

It doesn't bother me that it was coined in the 20th century. I always associate it with a witch because it's close to Glinda, The Good Witch of the North. Well, at least she was a good witch. But I'm still not crazy about it. I had a friend whose sister was named Glenda after their father, Glen.

No, it doesn't bother me; it wasn't invented all that recently.
I think it's way cuter than Brenda, but I wouldn't use it or want to be called it.

The lack of history wouldn’t bother me. But I much prefer Glenna. Glenda is too “good witch” and reminiscent of Linda, which I find dated.
