Pomona
Had a crazy dream last night where I gave birth to twins without knowing I was pregnant!!No names officially decided though I remember feeling like they would end up as Mars and Rose. But, I also remember Pomona being on the girls list. So wdyt of Pomona? Would it be weird to use since it’s the name of a town near me?

Okay, so I'm from South Carolina and had never heard of this place/name before seeing it on this site a few years back.I like it so I decided to name a character that (fantasy story) and then I kept messing it up when I said it. Eventually, the character became Ponoma instead because I seem to have select dyslexia when it comes to this name.Anyway, that being said, I actually quite like this name. It's sweet and I think it works well for all ages.

I really like Pomona, though I always think of the prestigious liberal arts college before I think of it as a personal name.

I don't care for Pomona, although I do like the meaning.Interestingly enough, the goddess Pomona was a distinctly Roman goddess (i.e. she had no Greek equivalent).

I like Pomona, it's sweet. I also like Pomeline. But maybe it would seem odd to use it if you live near a town called Pomona, I'm not sure.
Rose is sweet and should be used more as a first name. Mars otoh, no thanks. I know it's both a planet and a Roman god, but I also think of fried Mars bars and of David Bowie's Life on Mars (brilliant song, btw).
