I don't really care for it. I don't like the sound of it. In addition, it feels too serious and ponderous to me and yet the nn Lola is the exact opposite of that. I suppose Dolly could work. I'm used to it as a nn for Dorothy or Dorothea yet I could see it working for Dolores.BTW, one of my friends in high school had a mom named Dolores. I was writing her name down once and asked her if she spelled it Dolores or Delores and she replied that she didn't really know and it didn't matter. Just write it down however I preferred.
