Josian
I'm currently listening to an audiobook with a male character named Josian (pn JO-zee-en). I'm finding I really kind of like it. Thoughts? Or is it too similar to the female name Josie that people will think it's a girl's name?

Yes-why not, nice style and smooth and likeable sounding, similar to Julian, Lucian, Marian, Bastian or Dorian.
I would pronounce it JO-see-an.
I would pronounce it JO-see-an.
I said it right without a second thought?
I also kind of adore it.
It's coming up quickly on a number of name sites after a quick Google search. I'm not saying they're credible sites, but I don't think the author made the name up. What's one more -ian name anyway?
It's a letter off from Josiah so it's not really hard to imagine someone bearing that easily enough. Sure, there would be a lot of people misread it as Josiah or assume it was a typo or whatever, but other than that, I don't see a problem. I like the sound.

I read it as Jo-zee-ann when I first saw it in your post, Then I opened it to read it's pronounced Jo-zee-en? I thouht it was a girl name to start. I think it's too close to Josie for use on a real boy. Sorry. :( I'd spell it Josien if it ws to be pronounced Jo-zee-en.
