Apple vs Pilot
Which would you choose? Would it be for a boy, or a girl?

Apple, for a girl. Since I'm not a native English speaker, Apple sounds nice to me, like a green, juicy Granny Smith!
Pilot just sounds silly (it's the same word in Swedish, btw).

Why not both! Apple Pilot.
Pilot Apple has a better ring to it.
But it lacks apple pie.
This is true.
Apple, ideally short for Apolline, but even if it had to be the full fn, it's better than Pilot!
Pilot for a boy.
I love these, too. I now feel like I have horrible taste. Apple, because I have loved it since I was 5 and learned about the joke that is celebrity naming culture, haha. For a girl, for sure.
I'd go with Apple, cause trees, and pretty blossoms, and fruit, and it sounds sort of namey. I like Apple better for a girl, but I would use it for a boy in a pinch.
Pilot sounds very similar to Pilate (as in Pontius Pilate, not as in pilates) in my accent, which I suppose makes it namey, but weird vibes.

Pilot for a boy, Apple for a girl.
Pilot!
I've always thought Pilot Inspektor was cute for some inexplicable reason. I don't think of it as having a specific gender either.

If I had to, Apple for a girl. It's better sounding than Pilot, but too feminine seeming for a boy.
Pilot, boy
though I think I prefer the sound of Sailor.
