I wanted to go by Sandy in middle school, it didn't take, and frankly I don't know what I was thinking. I really rather hate it fir a girl. It's bland in spite of not being super common. I suppose its an okay nickname, but it would be my last choice of options for Alessandra. Sandra is a fairly lackluster name in itself imo. It's pretty. but that's all.

I like it okay on a boy, though it isn't love, I think because it is very uncommon it feels fresher and more interesting.
