I agree, Jackson is way better!

It irritates me that it is the same name, but with the etymology hidden.

I agree with you. Jackson is not a favorite, but I love Jack and don't hate Jackson.

At the same time, unlike some creative spellings, this one actually makes sense.

But, using Z and X to modernize old names ends up making those names seem more like products or brands or prescription medications than individual proper names in my opinion.

It's fine. I like Jax better.

I don't like Jackson really at all, and spelling it that way makes it look dumb. I especially hate Jaxson.
