Re: Atticus
I absolutely love it! Never used to, I have a friend who everyone called Attica (but actually spelt and said differently), so it felt weird to me. But I fell for it after a while, and it has the same fun, energetic, adventurous, boyish feel that I think a lot of my favourites have. Plus I heard it on Downton Abbey, which helped me imagine it on a real person. I don't think it's pretentious, but I don't care about that since many names I love are probably seen in the same way. It's much more trendy and seemed like #1 'hipster' name for a while. I wasn't sure about how it would be recieved after Go Set A Watchman (I haven't read either book), and had it as a gp. I remember talking to a friend about it, and how she felt kinda bad so many people had used it and then had it ruined. But I put it on the usable list after looking at a few threads and seeing it come back onto people's lists after a while. I probably wouldn't use it as a first because of trendiness/popularity or before reading the books, but it's a great name.
