There was a native American Indian whose name was Sequoyah. He was a Cherokee. (I think they named the trees after him, possibly.) It makes me think of a male name because of this. I don't really care for it as a name for a boy or a girl, though. Sorry!

I think Sequoia is a gorgeous name. I think of the trees, and I don't think that's a bad association at all. I've never met anyone named Sequoia either.

I like it. Since I LOVE trees. The Sequoia is the tallest tree in the world if I'm not mistaken. :) I'd go for it since it holds a special meaning. I knew of a lil boy named Sequoia Lennon.

It's not really my style, but it's not bad. As a middle name I think it's nice, especially since the park has special meaning for you. Though personally, I wouldn't use it.

My friend's younger sister is named Sequoia. I don't really like it, it kind of sounds permanently childish to me.. I couldn't see it on an adult.

Personally I love it. I love the sound. I love the look. I love the nature association. I love that it has all 5 vowels. I mean, how cool is that? If it has personal meaning for you too, then all the better.
