I think its overused and boring, but not cheesy or beautiful unless used in certain instances such as when preemies are born and named Miracle or Angel.
I think it definitely is religious and I cannot imagine anyone who isn't Christian using the name.
P.S. I understand what you're trying to use with the phrase "baggage" but its pretty offensive for someone of a faith to be told their belief is "baggage."
