What are your thoughts on Struan for a boy?

Nooo, don't do it.
It sounds like a definite noun in Swedish (the infinite noun would then be "strua", but it doesn't mean anything in Swedish). It reminds me of Swedish words like struva (a rosette cookie), struma (goiter) and strumpa (sock).
Too close to "strewn"
I find it sounds really terrible.
I think it has a fine Scottish history, isn't used often, and goes with the -an/-en trend.
Don't mind it actually.
Love it. I'd assume the family had a Scottish connection though.
