I love Vesper. Its an evening prayer so the meaning is great for me. I also like Vespera, but Vesper flows better.

I know a two year old named Vesper Kathryn. Her father is a music minister, so it's a Vespers reference. In any case, I think it's been fairly well received. I think it's got a sound distinct enough it won't get confused for anything more common, and is exceptionally pretty.

I don't really like it that much, but I think it would be better on a boy. I can't picture it on a girl.

I really like Vesper. I also like Hesper.
The only thing I don't like about Vesper is that it makes me think of words like "viper", "wasp" and "whisper".

I used to L-O-V-E this name (nickname "Vessa")! I'd first heard it in "Casino Royale" and thought it was such a cool name. It was in my Top 10 when I first joined BtN, I think (I'd have to double-check). It's still in my GP list. I put it on that list instead of the regular favorites, because I actually have my doubts that a female Vesper would have an easy time of it today. She would constantly get Bond Girl jokes, no doubt about it.Some combos (it goes with so much!):Vesper Adelaide

I genuinely like Vesper. I'd love to meet one. I'm not sure I have a gender preference personally.
But a number of years ago (maybe ten-ish), I knew a hipster couple who named their baby Vesper Sidonie which is cool.

Vesper Sidonie is lovely!

I'm not personally a fan of Sidonie, but I thought they did a good job with the name.

You're not alone, I love this name too!I first saw it used for what I remember as a male character in a book series I read when I was a kid, but I think it's maybe more feminine rather than masculine. It's a little different, but I think that Vesper would fare alright today. You could also elaborate it to Vesperina, which I just love the sound of.X

Vesper has been a GP of mine for awhile, but I don't think I'd actually use it. Still, I don't think it's unusable. It's much nicer than a lot of names that are much more popular. And people are used to -er names for girls (Harper, Piper) sp I don't think it would seem too out there.

I think they would get a lot of James Bond jokes, haha. The name itself is alright, to me, though I used to love it.
