Re: Donovan

I absolutely *love* this name! Donovan to me is an extremely attractive, handsome classy\classic, FRESH sounding and uncommon and will age well.
I prefer it over the, although decent but extremely overused Jonathan\Johnathan.
The first time I heard of the name was when I watched some British show a few years back and I instantly fell in love with it. Instantly.
Donovan is within my top 3 boy names and I would consider using it, even as a middle name but unfortunately, the name isn't usable to me. I love the name but isn't likely that I see myself using it. This, due to the slightly similar name of DONald. Not only because of the Trump association but also because of another Donald I knew. For personal reasons I won't bother to get into but because of that man I knew, I fail to myself using any name containing 'Don' it just wouldn't seem right.
I'm from the Northeastern side of the U.S and the name, at least to my general knowledge is extremely rare in my neck of the woods. In fact, I'm sure there are plenty of individuals who have never even heard of the name before.
