Indrid
I watched a movie on Netflix and one of the major characters had a very interesting name I should say.
What are your thoughts on 'Indrid'? At first, I misheard it as Ingrid and seeing how the character was definitely a guy (hahaha) I was expecting a female character to come into view until I of course heard the actual name. Indrid instead.
I don't know if it's an actual name. Regardless, it's brand new to me \:

Is the character Icelandic? There's an Icelandic author called Arnaldur Indridason which I think means his father is named Indrid
ETA wrong! His father's name was Indriði, and his name is properly spelt Indriðason I learn from Wikipedia!

I saw an obituary a few weeks ago for a woman named Indrid. I kinda like it, but it definitely does sound masculine to me. I'm also, of course, curious about the meaning and origin.
My only association with the name is Indrid Cold, the cryptid that accompanied sightings of the Mothman.
I think it's kind of interesting, but all of the Google hits are for that one figure. I think it'd be a weird name to use for a kid.
For a dog? Awesome name.
