Re: Bella
I think it's fine! As long as she has a full name in case of trips to Italy. It was popular regardless of Twilight. So I don't think it's as associated with the character as, say, Hermione is with HP.I've heard a couple girls being addressed as Bella in public and I think it sounds nice. Not bratty or dumb at all. It's nicer than prissy, flimsy Ella. It does sound sort of, I dunno, indulgent -- but, like the parent is fond, not like the child is overindulged.Yeah it'll be slightly dated, because Isabella has been pretty popular and a lot of people will observe a big wave of them, all around the same age. But I don't think it'll seem tacky in 20 years. I think Harper will, it'll become like Heather - but Isabella won't. I think it'll be like Amanda. At worst, like Tiffany.Isabel or Isabella nn Bella. Isabella is okay but I like Isabel more.
Annabel is much more of a bratty, whiny name to me than Isabel / Isabella.- mirfak
