I feel the same as you - I thought it was a hobbit name. Then I overheard someone calling a young girl Meadow and it sounded not so bad! I still don't really like it a lot, and would never want to be named Meadow. But it grew on me after seeing it as a real person's name. haha, oops, a pun.
