Delayna
What do you think about the name, Delayna? Said as Də-lay-na (Rhyming with Alaina\Elena)

It takes shabby awfulness to new and lower levels. Really, I've been trying to find something positive about it but no luck at all. That said, I dislike Alaina, Elena, Elaina, Elaine ... so it didn't have much of a chance.

Sounds like an attempt to feminize Delaney, which is awful, but which I feel strange affection for. Delaina is definitely prettier sounding than Delaney. It's not bad, but it sounds bit contrived and there are so many other names that rhyme that have more history that I personally am not into it.

The delay spelling makes an already unattractive name much worse IMO.

It sounds like you thought Delaney sounded too juvenile or nicknamey. I don't disagree with you if you do, but I don't think this name is the way to fix that.I know a lot of Delaneys born in the late 90s/early 00s so it sounds a little dated to me.

Alaina and Elena don't precisely rhyme in my accent, but Delayna looks like it would be pronounced the same as Delana, so the "y" seems unnecessary. Delana is nice enough, but I prefer Delaney.

I don't like it at all. I'm not a huge fan of the "-ayna" names anyway, and I knew a Delanea (pronounced the same way) in high school and didn't think too much of her.

It's pretty, but it sounds kinda made-up. I prefer Delaney.
