Veronica & Victoria
What do you think about Veronica & Victoria for twins? Are they too similar? What about middle names?___________________________________________________Rate my PNL! http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/170369

Too close for me. It's always been one of those either-or things when it comes to these two.

I don't think they're too similar. My name's Victoria, and my sister also has a longish V name; the similarity has never bothered me, and no one's ever acted like it was weird.

I prefer Victoria of the two. I find it more classy than Veronica. They sound fine as twins.

They work fine for twins. I would prefer Victoria and Vivian, Valerie or Vanessa. I adore all of those names.

Yes I think they are way too similar. I actually went to school with two sisters named Veronica and Victoria (Veronica was my age and Victoria was a year older). They also had a much younger brother, but I forget his name but I think it was something like Darrin.

I don't think they are too similar. Sorry, I'm not good at combos.

Honestly, don't do it. For siblings they are too similar. Twins need more individuality and that even includes their names. The trend of giving twins the same initial\s is annoying anyway. Just my opinion.Veronica Charlotte

In the middle slot, I think they are fine for twins or siblings. Or were you asking for middle name suggestions? The names themselves are similar, for me, in that they both feel strong, but are also quite different in that, for me, Veronica feels warm where Victoria is rather icy.Because they share several sounds, I feel they are too similar for twins or siblings, but I wouldn't say they'd pose any confusion for cousins.

I like Victoria a lot and Veronica not at all, which probably doesn't help you. But, because I've got a very good friend whose given name is Vickie, that's what I'd use. I think looking at nns is a useful exercise. Vickie or, local politics permitting, Torie would be fine for Victoria. Veronica could give you Vera, Ronnie or Nickie. So as long as there wasn't a risk of Vickie and Nickie, and you are OK with the other possibilities, the names themselves aren't similar except for starting with V, ending with -a and being 4 syllables long.If you do use them both, then for everyone's convenience you should give them different initials - preferably two mns each, to cut down on confusion even more.Victoria Caroline Suzanne

Not too similar. I love Victoria!

They're similar because they both start with v and are long names, but they're not matchy-matchy and don't have the same vibes. Veronica feels more down-to-earth and less buttoned-up.
I don't much like Victoria, but I do like Veronica, it's a fun name.

I do think they're too similar, yes. I'm not a fan of either, in general, but I don't think they're terrible.

My sister and brother-in-law once knew a Victoria whom my brother-in-law always called Veronica. So my sister would call her Victronica as a joke. Which makes me think they are too similar. But come to think of it, he's the only person I've ever heard of who couldn't remember that a Victoria is a Victoria and not a Veronica. So no, not too similar. I love both names.
