Nickname
Do you think that Trissy works as a nickname for Beatrice? Would you prefer Bea or Trissy?

Yes it would, but could also provoke teasing by people who rhyme the words. However, I do like both nicknames a lot! They put a modern twist on an older name.

I suppose so, but I don't particularly care for it. Bea or Bee are nicer.

Trissy definitely works. But I prefer Bea. Or just Tris.

DH has known a woman called Trissy. They were neighbours when he was a small child, and in later life he surmised that she was a secret Beatrice. My daughter, like her grandmother before her, goes by Bea as her default standard. When she was tiny, she was sometimes known as Frisky Trisky, but always with the K. I don't enjoy the prissy sound of Trissy, but it's often just a matter of not being used to something.

Trissy seems like an organic nickname for Beatrice, so it works.Bea is cute and spunky, but maybe expected?
Trissy is unexpected and more interesting to me because of that, but it also seems a little childish, like it might not age well, whereas Bea sounds fine on any age to me.Overall I prefer Bea.

Yes. But I prefer Bea. It's quirkier, and more colourful I think.

Sure. I prefer Bea, though Trissy is growing on me.

Trissy works well.
I am not sure if I like it, but it seems totally natural and the kind of nickname a sibling might use. Plus, Trixie is used for Beatrix, so it's a logical parallel. I do like Bea, so I definitely like it better than Trissy.

Definitely. Reminds of the movie Divergent a little bit. The main character was named Beatrice and went by Tris.I much prefer Bea.
