I would choose Seraphina and Seraphine, simply because they're refreshing :) And they have a few more nickname options than Sophia. Overall it would be Seraphina. Funnily enough I do not like Serafima, even though it is one letter different! I guess I'm just used to girls ending in -na, rather than -ma. Plus -fima reminds me of femur.

I prefer Seraphina to Sophia. I also prefer Sophie to Sophia. Seraphine is beautiful too, and Serafina is fine, as a variant. I dislike Sofia and Sofie, as spellings. Sophia and Sophie look more stylish, to me. Sylvie, Sylvia, Silvia and Sonia are all wonderful, and I see them as similar in style - also Sarah, Sadie, Sally and Sallie.

Sophia. I'd use Sophia or Sophie - probably Sophia nn Sophie. I really like Sophie.
The popularity makes Sophia blander, but I still prefer it over Seraphina. Seraphina sounds vaguely ... scary and biblical? to me because seraphim, and I wouldn't want to be called after them myself. This is not a reason to dislike it: for me Seraphina a similar "feel" to me to Serenity or Tiffany or Angelina, cute, pretty, singsong... I get a cheerleaderish image. Sophia "feels" more like Julia or Lydia to me (although its popularity also makes it a little bit more like Emily than Emilia, kinda goody-goody) and I feel like it grows up better.

I prefer seraphina because Sophia is just too common. I do like the name Sophia though. I would spell them as I have in my response. I prefer seraphina and Sophia to Sophie and Seraphine

Hi Perrine !!!I like...
Serafina
SerafimaI don't care about..
Seraphina
Seraphine
Sophia
Sophie
SofiaI love Serafina !!!
It is one of my favourite names since I was a child.
I also like Serafima because it is similar but it is also more similar to the original Hebrew name Seraphim. Despite this name is actually a plural I think that Serafina / Serafima is wonderful. In Italian Serafino "serafino" is the correct word for the type of angel so I would not use it although it exists among the Italian names (now dated).

I like both as well, but I would be more inclined to use Sophia as a FN and Seraphina as a MN. I don't like Sophie or Seraphine as much, and I think Sophia is my favorite of the bunch.

I like both Sophia and Seraphina, but at this point I'd pick Seraphina because it's less common. I think I like it more anyway. I'd also choose Seraphine over Sophie for the same reasons, plus Sophie has always made me think of soap and the word "sofa", while Sophia doesn't I don't really care for Serafima, but it's not terrible.

Sophie and Sophia are nice names, but way too common. I love both Seraphine, Seraphina and also Saraphina. Serafima doesn't sound quite as beautiful as the other variants, I'm not sure why.
Seraphine would be my pick.

Seraphina, Seraphine overall.
Serafima doesn't appeal to me. Serafina is ok, but I prefer the ph. I like Sofia spelling over Sophia and Sophie over Sophia/Sofia.

Serafina/Seraphina: After knowing an array of Sophias, Sophies, Saffiyahs in school, and this being among people who were born when Sophia was less popular, not only does Sophia get my popularity radar whirring, but I actually have a reason for it. The only aspect of the name I really like is the meaning. Serafina has a hint of magic, whimsy, and darkness, plus it reminds me of Serafina Pekkala from His Dark Materials, and that adds some wonderful imagery to the name. It's not my favourite name, but better than Sophia I think.Serafine/Seraphine: Again, less popular but just as gorgeous imo. I have this as a middle and love the feel and image.Serafina/Seraphina would be my favourite. I prefer -ina endings for some reason. I have a feeling it might get a bit more popular as an unusual but not too weird option. I'm not a fan of Serafima. I'm just not a fan of the sound. I have Serafia on my maybe list, along with Serafina.

Seraphina is a mouthful, and from a meaning point of view, very ambitious.Definitely Sophia, then, but only if spelt with a -ph- and pronounced soFEYEa, not soFEEa. And Sophie is fine as a nn but otherwise not.

I prefer Sofia over Sophia as it becomes a place name and Sophia looks like she would get "Sophie" which I hate, whereas it's easier to turn Sofia into "Fia". But my overall pick would be Seraphina because it's a beautiful name with "Sera" as a great nn. Hmm, I guess my entire opinion is based on nicknames for this one... Oh, and if I heard "Serafima" I would assume that I'd misheard Seraphina.

SophiaSophia is one of my favorite names, popularity be damned. It's beautiful, classic, and has a great meaning to boot. Seraphina is very pretty...almost too pretty for a real person. President Seraphina or Doctor Seraphina seem rather incongruous. However, I vastly prefer Seraphine over Sophie. Seraphine seems more usable than Seraphina, and I especially like it as a middle name. Sophie is one of my least favorite names. It's babyish and cutesy and perpetually three years old.Serafima is okay but looks like a typo to me.I would rank them like this:
Sophia
Sofia
Seraphine
Serafina (for some reason I find this more substantial than Seraphina)
Seraphina
Serafine
Sofie
Sophie

Serafina
SerafineI'm not a huge fan of Serafima.

Sophie and Sophia are overused though they sound better. I like Seraphina, prefer Seraphine. Not Serafima, it doesn't sound good for me.
Please vote on my lists, thanks!
