I like Demelza, Kerensa and Elowen. My mum actually considered calling me Demelza, but wasn't game enough! I think it's a great name and find Elowen quite beautiful.

I dislike:
Lamorna - unappealing in looks and sound
Loveday - it just seems surnamey and wordy to me. I like some surnames/words as names but this one just doesn't appeal
Tean - looks made up
Mylor - doesn't look feminine at allYestin - I don't like Justin and this is worse. Yes to tin!

I love Elowen. It sounds like a princess in a fantasy novel.

I really like Demelza, Merryn and Elowen. I know a couple of Tamsins so while I like it, it's used too much already in my circle for me to ever consider it.I also really like Jago, Jory, and Talan.

My grandfather (born end of the 1800s) was from Cornwall and was a Cornish speakerLoveday, Jago and Jory are three of my very favourite names. I find quite a lot of Cornish female names a bit overblown, but I do like Tamsin. I think Demelza was made up quite recently?I also like Pasco and Petroc a lot

Demelza is one of my favourite names. For a long time I had her as top name for a second girl. I love the fire and feistiness of it, as well as the character connection. I really started crushing on it after watching Poldark (the newer adaptation). I also love:
Morwenna
Lamorna
Lowenna (another second girl consideration)
Elowen, although I'm not a fan of the proper Ell-OH-wen pronunciation, so I don't think I'd use it.
Senara
Rosenwyn
ZennorI really want to like Kerensa/Kerenza (espeically with the meaning), but there's something about the sound I just can't get around, it really reminds me credenza. And I like a few more Cornish names like Caja (kay-juh), Sowenna (but I do prefer Lowenna), Gwener, and Eseld. And for boys I love:
Jago (didn't realise it was in the top 1000 here)
Jory
Jowan
Sennen
Pasco

I wonder if names like Demelza and Morwenna will increase a bit in popularity due to the newer adaptation of Poldark.I like Caja and Eseld too.

There were a few more Demelzas born in 2015, and that was just after series 1 aired, so maybe. I can see Morwenna doing the same, but perhaps a bit more. It has a softer feel that I think would appeal to some, whereas Demelza may be a little harsh for many. I've come across Disney Villain name à la Ursula, be mentioned in relation to Demelza.Damn, I'm starting to sway back to Demelza -_-.

&
Zennor (masculine usage)
Jowan
Perran
Daveth
