I find the sound strange, but like it for that very reason. I think Immy is a sweet nn for a small child. I know an adorable brunette 3 y/o here in the US who is called Imogen, and it is wonderful on her. Suits her perfectly. Her nickname comes from her older sister, who of her own accord started calling her 'Pidge' (easier to say, I think) -- Pigeon! So cute.
