Flavia
My newest obsession is Flavia, which has appeared on my list for years but never attracted my full attention. I love how baroque it is and how mellifluously it harmonizes with my very Italian last name. Also, I studied Latin for nine years, and Flavia was one of the fictional characters in the Latin textbook that I used as a student in middle and high school and as a Latin teacher after college, so it has sentimental value for me. What does everyone think? Here are some combos (*indicates my favorites):Flavia Beatrice

I wish I could like it since it has many qualities I like in a name. Unfortunately, the swallowed 'Muscovite' L consonant followed by a half-swallowed tense vowel seems to happen here, and that is a sound that I find guttural and unattractive. It has spoiled other names for me like Slawa, Stanislava, and even Felix a little.

I really like Flavia (as Flay-vee-uh). There's a mystery series set in Ancient Rome I used to be into, and one of the characters was called Flavia, which is where I fell in love with the name. Cool, feisty, interesting, and beautiful. I love Flavia Beatrix, Flavia Dorothy, & Flavia Sibyl!

Flavia is amazing! I used those Latin books too. I also associate the name with the books by Flavia Weedn, who I love. Your combos are gorgeous. I like every single one.

'Tis the only girl's name starting with an F that I really love. When we were middle-school aged, my sister was friendly with a girl at school named Flavia. She never came over to our house or anything, but my sister would mention her. My parents laughed at her name, but they were very conventional (i.e., unimaginative) namers.

I don't have much to say about it but I really like the way it sounds when you say it. Kinda aristocratic.

I like it a lot, but only pronounced FLAH-vee-ah. I really dislike FLAY-vee-ah! Flavia Beatrice would be really great! Flavia Beatrix is good too.
