Re: More Swedish May BAs feat. Leonel Zlatan

I bet Leonel Zlatan's parens are die-hard soccer fans. Even my cousin named his second child Lionel after Messi..
Me gusta:
Agnes (Alice)
Penny - this is the name of one my youngest bunny
Theodor (Benjamin)
Viggo (Julian; Philippa)
Frans
(Niilas) but I prefer Nilas. This is my absolute favorite Sami name, but I can never use it since my brother's name is Nicklas..
William
We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.

Yeah, they are probably football freaks. I think it's a bit nerdy. What if Leonel actually prefers ballet when he gets older?
Yeah I would have thought that too.
Messi.. meh, I'm not a fan..
Zlatan however.. I do like him! :D Wonder if hubby would go for that.. hehehe. I have a whole stack of footballers that I like, I could secretly name a son after ;)

I don't see a problem with it since Leonel/Lionel is a legit name. It would be different if they named the kid something that purely had to do with soccer.
The funny thing is, I associate Lionel more with Lionel Richie than Lionel Messi.
I went to school with a Lionel. He hates the fact that he shares his name with Messi - he has nothing against Messi, but hates having people tell him "oh, like the footballer?" when he introduces himself. The ironic thing is that he actually looks kinda like Messi. (Even more ironic, my friend Lionel doesn't even like football. He prefers swimming.)

I didn't mean the names per se, I meant reflecting your interest in your children's names.
