Aaliyah
I used to really dislike Aaliyah but since meeting a little girl named this I think it is kind of sweet. Yes, this always happens to me :P I see a name on a person and then I suddenly think it is kind of cute. On the other hand it looks a bit like a jumble of letters and I dislike names tied to a certain person. Opinions on Aaliyah? Just tell me anything that comes to mind.

Sounds okay, looks like it should be in a comic-style speech bubble. Aaliyaah!
Aliya looks far nicer.

I don't like it. It looks overly complicated

it reminds me of my favorite R &B singer who was killed in a plan crush

I wasn't sure about this name either, but at after care where I work there is a sweet girl with that name, so I looked more into it and I really like the meaning and quite like how it sounds, also I prefer this spelling to other variants such as Aleah as that just doesn't look like the name even though it is. Also I really love Arabic names and while there are Arabic names I like more than Aaliyah, I still think it is a cute name, also quite like Ali or Lea as a nickname. I've liked this name for over 10 years. It used to be in my Top 10 as Aliyah. I prefer Aliyah because the second 'a' seems superfluous to me. It has a great meaning, pretty sound, yet still has some inner strength to it. My favourite combo is Aliyah Jasmine :)

I love Aaliyah. I think it has a gorgeous look and sound! I would never use it though because I have a younger sister named Leah. Maybe as a middle name, though.P.S. You could always use Aleah!

It's a pretty name. I don't like the spelling. I prefer Aleah.

Aaliyah seems to be very popular here in Delaware, especially on black and biracial girls. I think it's got a pretty sound, but it seems somehow insubstantial, like all it is is a pretty sound, even though I know it has a meaning and a history.
