Eloise
Eloise is one of my favourites right now. What are your opinions on this name? How do you pronounce it? I put the emphasis on the end (El-o-EEZ) but I have also heard it said EL-o-eez and El-o-EES. Any MN combos?

Dear Eloise, I am writing to say ... ?
Luckily I liked the name before I heard a musical rendition!

It's starting to grow on me lately. My favorite pronunciation is e-lo-EEZ. I like the meaning helios "sun" association with it, even if it's not technically etymologically connected to it.
I like it. I've only met one, so it makes me think of her. She'd be in her late 30s now, and she was Welsh.
I pronounce it kind of like eh-lo-EES or el-o-EEZ.

I had a patient named Eloise, sweet old lady. We tended to really pronounce it like yellow (without the y), so, like yellow ease.
