Annabel
Is it too sickly-sweet? I must admit I have a big soft spot for it. I've seen it used a few times recently and it's grown on me a lot.Are Susanna and Annabel too similar for siblings? Probably.

No, it's not too sweet. I love Annabel spelled this way only. Annabelle is too fake French for me. I'd use Susanna & Annabel as siblings. Annie & Sukey they'd be nn'd.

Annabel Bananabell, it just seems over the top. It sounds like the name of a spoiled rich girl of a fluffy, ultra-girly girl with a blindingly pink room and a dozen frilly dresses.

I love it! It was on our list for a loooong time. Then Annabelle rose too high on the charts for me. It's so lovely though! I've only actually met two of them, and one of them goes by Annie.

I love Annabel and don't find it sickly-sweet at all; it sounds energetic and echoes right down Scottish history. And I also love the bizarre etymology!Which is one reason why I so dislike Annabelle. In becoming fake-French it loses its meaning.I once knew an Annabel Suzanne! I found that bit much. But as a sibling for Annabel, Susannah would be practically guaranteed to be known as Susie rather than Annie, which is good.

I agree. Susie and Annie are nice together, and realistically that's what most people would say. So I think Susanna and Annabel could work just fine. If you have concerns you could do Suzanne and Annabel.

I love Annabel! It is not sickly sweet, it's a classic. I love its meaning. Annabelle is sickly sweet. I also pronounce Ananbelle differently, with the emphasis on the last syllable. With Annabel I put the emphasis on the first syllable and it is much more down to earth and stronger, in my opinion. Annabelle is so frilly and there is the creepy Annabelle doll and the horror movie :(Susanna and Annabel - as long as they both go by their full names I think they are okay together. Not great, but okay. But Annabel might get called Anna sometimes and then they rhyme :/

I'd be tempted to combine them into Susannabel when talking about the both of them.
I find Annabel an unattractive spelling. It seems incomplete, even though Isabel doesn't. Annabelle is better. It isn't terrible, but it's very cutesy, like a big fancy china doll in Victorian clothes that is too expensive and/or fragile to let a kid handle it.

I like it (but I like Annabelle better), but honestly it sounds like a cow name. It is too close to Susanna.

I like it well enough but wouldn't ever use it. I do prefer the spelling of Annabelle best as it just appears more feminine and complete. Annabel looks like someone cut away part of the name, chopped it off. Susanna & Annabel too similar for siblings? Indeed
