Re: birth announcements in my area
Calum - Parents Alison and Gary - Brother Kieron
Calum Jensen - Parents Tracy and Simon - Sister Chloe : I didn't know Calum, esp. this spelling, was so popular. :-/ Don't care for the cutesy siblings' names, though (esp. the hideous spelling of Ciaran...at least spell it Kieran :b)
Dylan James - Colleen and Paul - *yawn*
Joseph David - Parents Kirsty and David Brother - Samuel - dull but classic; I like Samuel Isabelle Monique - Parents Joanne and Rob - I prefer Isabel, but Isabelle is better than Isabella imo. Monique is tolerable
Jessica Mae - Parents Jo and Tony - Jessica?! It's not the 1990s, people. lol Mae is nice, but I'd prefer to see it as a fn.
Lara Nicole - Parents Caroline and Simon - Brother Matthew - ok

Well the Calum spelling is fairly popular in my area, it isnt really that surprising as when a name becomes popular, different ways of spelling it tend to pop up with alarming frequencey at least it wasnt Kallum
Calum is more popular in Scotland where it is at number 35 but its still not as popular as Callum which is number 3 in Scotland and number 15 in England

I keep forgetting that Calum is really the more used spelling. I'd only seen Callum for a while, so I guess it was the one I was "used to". :b ~Heather~
