Joy
What do you think of the name Joy?

I like it, it's one of those "standard" names for me that jut work
I love it, but it's risky. I've known three Joy people: one was anorexic, depressive and none too bright; one was hyperactive, focused on getting ahead, prone to neglect work and leave others to cover for her; and the other was entirely delightful except she had to drop out of tertiary education and look after her desperately ill mother and is still doing it, after too many years. In every case, the name was a horrible irony. Safer as a mn! (I would use Helen Susannah Joy, for instance.)
I love it and would possibly have used it for our DD, but one of my aunts mns is Joy.
