My name is Ulrika, which is a common name where I live, but when traveling to other counties I find it hard to introduce myself. People rarely get my name at first. I often have to repeat it few times and also spell it. Which is quite annoying...
So, can you help me with some (simple) nicknames that I could use internationally?

Ulrika is a BEAUTIFUL German name!

We all have to pronounce Hispanic, African, and Arabic names.

I agree with the two others, Rika (r-EE-kuh) would work the best depending on who you're introdusing yourself to. Lika or Ika could work as well. In Scandinavia Ulrika works just fine.

I like the idea of Rika. My aunts name was Ulrike & they called her Rikki

Rika would be the easiest cross-culturally. It is simple, yet easy to hear and say.
